Practice Policies
Please note: The following information applies to my private practice. For policies regarding my work with Centerpointe Psychiatry, please contact their office directly.
Cancellation & Late Arrival Policy:
Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. To ensure all clients have access to timely care, I require a minimum of 48 hours' notice (2 full days) to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed appointments, will be charged the full session fee.
Late Arrivals: If you are more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, your appointment will be considered a late cancellation. The full session fee will apply.
A note on my policy: While I understand that emergencies can occur, this policy is in place to ensure I can run a sustainable practice and offer appointment times to other clients.
Payment Methods
Payment is due in full at the time of service. For your convenience, I accept:
All major credit cards (Amex, Discover, MasterCard, Visa)
HSA and FSA cards
Insurance & Out-of-Network Benefits
My private practice is out-of-network, which means I do not bill insurance companies directly. However, if your plan includes out-of-network benefits (typically PPO or POS plans), you may be able to get reimbursed for a portion of the cost.
Using Your Benefits: Upon request, I will provide you with a detailed receipt ("superbill") that has all the information you need to submit a claim to your insurance company.
To understand your specific benefits, I highly recommend calling your insurance provider and asking the following questions:
Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health?
What is my out-of-network deductible and have I met it?
What percentage of the fee for CPT codes 90792, 99214, and 90837 will be reimbursed?
How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost. You will receive this estimate in writing at least 3 business day before your first appointment. For questions or more information, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
